The science behind health and wellness demands observation and understanding. In collaboration with world renowned scientists and research partners, we develop the most advanced solutions for outcomes across gastrointestinal, immune-system and nutritional health. Our process began over 20 years ago with over 30 years of clinical research. This was followed by microbial strain isolation, identification and replication.

Human Probiotic Isolates™

Probiotic bacteria are species specific. In exactly the same way that the mother’s milk of a mammal is species specific. Most probiotics contain strains harvested from the gut flora of mammals such as bovine bacteria from cattle. These animal bacteria do not colonise and replicate in the human GIT.

Progurt Probiotic Sachets contain Human Probiotic Isolates HPI™ identical to those found in a healthy human gut from birth. These human strains are synergistic and effective. They consist of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) and Bifidobacteria including beneficial strains of Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Bifidus and S. Thermophilus. We develop our formulations with some of the world's leading microbiologists, academic researchers, MDs and naturopaths. This included the process of developing the worlds first 1 Trillion CFU human-originated-strain probiotic formulation. Followed by a rigorous process of randomized clinical trials. Our human clinical research, in combination with human-strain development and trialling, allowed us to innovate and create genuine value for holistic human health, while pioneering the fields of microbiome and probiotic science.

Indigenous Ingredients

Materials are always selected based on their natural occurrence with the earth or within the human body from birth and throughout the natural human life. Ingredients are Synergistic (combined effect is greater than the sum of the effects seen when given alone), bioactive (easily absorbed through the gut wall) and bioavailable (easily assimilated into then bloodstream). No fillers, flow agents or excipients that may negatively affect the microbiome and immune system.

Ingredients
Progurt is committed to using only ingredients that either directly benefit gut health or support the integrity and effectiveness of the human immune system. We choose ingredients based on biocompatibility. When formulating products, we use the highest quality raw materials and indigenous ingredients, focusing on potency, biocompatibility, pH levels and absorption, always making sure that the active ingredients are at efficacious levels.

It is equally, if not more, important what we leave out of the products as what we put in. You won’t find any fillers, additives, excipients or stabilisers, making Progurt products, in our opinion, appropriate for improving the health of all human beings.

3rd Party Tested

Every solution is 3rd party tested for bio-identity, purity, potency, microbiological content, allergens and pesticides.

Allergen + Contaminant Testing

Our products are tested and verified free of all 14 classes of allergens according to EFSA, and Progurt abides by and adheres to the stringent requirements established by Good Manufacturing Practices.

Clinical Potency

We formulate using only the highest concentrations of clinically proven ingredients, evidence-based prebiotics, probiotics, minerals and the purest and most potent raw materials.

Global Quality Adherence

We adhere to all regulations set by the US Food and Drug Administration; we also comply to global quality standards outlined by Japan’s Foods for Specified Health Uses (FOSHU) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

GMP Certified

Our manufacturing facilities are in compliance with the requirements of JHNFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program for dietary supplements, also recognized as CGMP or Current Good Manufacturing Practices, which is established in accordance with a guideline issued by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

Quality Control

With numerous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checkpoints, we monitor purity under all Japanese and European protocols (including cGMP + HACCP) throughout the production cycle with no skip-lot testing. Our fermentation culture media do not contain any animal tissue or biological material.
